A Little Housekeeping

Recently I added the captcha spam filter for comments to cut down on the spam I was having to contend with. However, the captcha can be annoying at times.

As a convenience feature, I enabled registration for those readers who do not want to have to go through the captcha spam test when commenting. You can register and login using the links on the sidebar to the right (look under the "Administration" heading on the main page). You will need to provide a valid email to register. The password will be sent to the email provided. Once you login, you can change the password.

For those who do not wish to register, you can continue to comment as before. Thanks to all who comment here. Thanks to ‘dude’ for spurring me into action!

I don’t mind typing in five digits to post here. Hey Mash, did you see the overhaul I gave my blog? I’m still fine-tuning it but I have a Blogger beta template that looks a lot like the WordPress one I used to have. Check it out when you get the chance. 🙂

hows about an “edit” function, for those times you think slower than you type and hit Return?:d

  4. Mash says:

dude, I think giving edit would kind of ruin the spirit of commenting on blogs. If you could go back and edit your comments, it would really wreak havoc with a discussion thread 🙂

My suggestion is to use the preview pane above as a guide. It works for everything except the smileys. ~:>
