Transparent Sarah Palin

Coburn-Obama bill press release

Serial Liar Sarah Palin says that the Palin/McCain ticket will bring "change" to Washington. CNN explains that, like John McCain, their idea of "change" is a few years behind the times:

Sarah Palin likes to tell voters around the country about how she “put the government checkbook online” in Alaska. On Thursday, Palin suggested she would take that same proposal to Washington.

“We’re going to do a few new things also,” she said at a rally in Cedar Rapids. “For instance, as Alaska’s governor, I put the government’s checkbook online so that people can see where their money’s going. We’ll bring that kind of transparency, that responsibility, and accountability back. We’re going to bring that back to D.C.”

There’s just one problem with proposing to put the federal checkbook online – somebody’s already done it. His name is Barack Obama.

Sarah Palin and her running mate are trying to sell the American public into believing that they are "change" agents. However, Barack Obama has already brought the change that the Palin/McCain ticket claims they will bring – and Obama did it in a bipartisan way by co-sponsoring a bill with Republican Senator Tom Coburn. In 2006, Barack Obama and Tom Coburn co-sponsored the Federal Funding Accountability and Transparency Act.

Below is a visual aid to help Sarah Palin grasp her inanity:

President Bush signs the Federal Funding Accountability and Transparency Act of 2006

Here is the head of Sarah Palin’s Republican Party thanking Barack Obama for co-sponsoring the bill:

I want to thank the bill sponsors, Tom Coburn from Oklahoma, Tom Carper from Delaware, and Barack Obama from Illinois.

Obama just doesn’t talk about change, he is making it happen. See for yourself at USAspending.gov.

How out of touch are Sarah Palin and John McCain?
